We are not just hemming pants here, we are dressing Mounties.

Episode: February 23 and 26, 2010

Since 1885, almost all RCMP officers in Canada have gone through the RCMP’s Training Academy “Depot” in Regina, Saskatchewan. It is an incredibly grueling program that teaches respect, honour and discipline.  Depot teaches cadets the fundamentals of policing they will need to face the daily challenges on the frontline. Kevin Marion is 24 years old, and after years of preparation, he will be going to Depot to realize his goal of becoming a Mountie.  His father, Al, who is on the Prime Minister’s Protective Detail, has been Kevin’s inspiration to join the force.  He hopes that with hard work and a bit of luck, his father will present him his RCMP badge at the end of this 24-week course. But sometimes wanting it doesn’t always mean you get it.
