Active shooters are incidents that are spontaneous, in other words we don’t usually have a lot of pre warning they’re going to occur.
Dispatch, I’ve got one female here that says there’s a male inside shooting people.
We are going into a code red situation so that means a full lock down
The average shooting time in a school shooting is under 8 minutes, which provides police little opportunity to intervene.
Besides the family home the school should be the safest environment for children.
Bottom line is the children inside the school are our responsibility when something like this happens.
