78-year-old man pleads guilty to sex related charges, Rivière-Verte, N.B.

On Monday August 16, 2010, Ernest Roy, a 78-year-old man from Rivière-Verte appeared in Edmundston Provincial Court and plead guilty to three counts involving sexual assaults on minors.

RCMP began their investigation in 2008 and it stemmed from incidents involving girls between the ages of 6 and 18. The abuse occurred in the Riviere-Verte area between 1966 and 1985.

Ernest Roy will return to Edmundston Court on October 7, 2010 at 9:30 am to receive his sentence.
