Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week - Hit and run causing death, Dalhousie, N.B.

Crime Stoppers and the District 9 RCMP (Dalhousie detachment) are looking for the driver of a hit and run vehicle who fatally struck an elderly pedestrian in Dalhousie, New Brunswick.

On February 26 2007, at around midnight, 76-year-old Georges Gauvin was fatally struck in front of the Tim Horton’s restaurant situated at 414 William Street in Dalhousie. The driver failed to remain at the scene of the accident and provide immediate medical assistance to Mr. Gauvin, who later died from his injuries in hospital. Police would like the public to come forward with any information which could help locate the driver involved in this hit and run causing death.
