Last week, District 11 RCMP seized over 350 marijuana plants from wooded areas in Colpitts Settlement, Irishtown, Turtle Creek, Albert Mines, Havelock, Anagance, and Portage Vail. This would have been enough marijuana to potentially produce up to 175, 000 joints.
District 11 RCMP would like to thank the public for their support, and for providing tips about marijuana grow-operations to the police. Concerned citizens are encouraged to report suspicious behaviour to local police or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
This initiative is part of the RCMP's ongoing commitment to reducing crime and creating safe homes and safe communities. More information about the RCMP in New Brunswick's effort to eradicate marijuana grow-operations is available here.
