Every week in August, the RCMP New Brunswick Drugs and Organized Crime Awareness Service (DOCAS) will be providing tips for people on the potential dangers of prescription drug abuse.

Prescription drugs and crime - Addictions to prescription drugs can be so strong that people will often commit crimes in order to obtain their drugs. They may steal drugs or money from family members or friends in order to satisfy their needs. Pharmacies and the elderly are especially vulnerable to pharmaceutical theft.
