Arson suspected in helicopter fire, Menneval, N.B.

District 9 RCMP from Saint-Quentin are investigating a fire which destroyed a helicopter owned by a private company early this morning.

The fire was reported at 1:45 a.m by employees of the company. The helicopter was located in an old airstrip just off Highway 17 in Menneval, approximately halfway between Campbellton and Kedgwick. No one was injured.

Investigators are considering the fire suspicious. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
