RCMP seize 1000 marijuana plants, Shediac, N.B.

On August 25 and 26, 2010, District 4 Southeast RCMP seized close to 1000 marijuana plants from wooded areas in Dorchester, Caissie Cape, Shediac and Saint-André-Leblanc. Police also assisted in the seizure of 60 plants in Amherst near the New Brunswick border.

So far this year, RCMP in District 4 have seized 2300 marijuana plants from outdoor grow areas. This amount of marijuana could have potentially produced over one million joints.

Police are actively investigating the location of numerous other outdoor grows. You can assist the RCMP in eradicating marijuana grow-operations by providing the police with information on these drug related activities.
