Body discovered in burned vehicle, Sackville, N.B.

The RCMP are on the scene of a vehicle fire which occurred on January 19, 2010 in Sackville.

The police received a call in the afternoon that a vehicle had collided with a gas pump at the Town of Sackville Public Works Building on Crescent Street. A fire broke out and the Sackville Fire Department was able to extinguish the blaze.

A body was discovered in the burned vehicle. The RCMP’s Forensic Identification Section is on the scene to assist in identifying the body. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
