Pedestrian dies in collision on Route 15, Painsec, N.B.

Caledonia RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that claimed the life of a pedestrian on Highway 15 near the Moncton International Airport on September 1, 2010 at approximately 3:30 a.m.

The investigation has revealed that a 27-year-old Moncton man stepped onto the roadway and was struck by a transport truck. The man died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of next of kin. The investigation is ongoing.
