2010/9/2

In the past week, District 9 RCMP and the RCMP's Coordinated Marijuana Enforcement Team have seized over 6700 marijuana plants from various wooded areas in Northern New Brunswick. This number of plants could have potentially produced up to 3.3 million joints.
District 9 RCMP would like to thank the public for their support, and for providing tips about marijuana grow-operations to the police. Marijuana production poses a significant threat to public health and safety, and the public is encouraged to report suspicious behaviour to local police or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
This initiative is part of the RCMP's ongoing commitment to reducing crime and creating safe homes and safe communities. More information about the RCMP in New Brunswick's effort to eradicate marijuana grow-operations is available here.
