RCMP seize 600 prescription pills, Eel Ground First Nation, N.B.

On September 1, 2010 the Blackville RCMP and the Miramichi City Police executed a search warrant in a residence in Eel Ground First Nation, N.B. During the search police seized approximately 600 prescription pills. They also seized drug paraphernalia and cash.

When police searched the home three men were arrested, a 23, 29 and 30-year-old. The 23-year-old man was transported to the Miramichi Regional Hospital and kept for observation because of his level of intoxication. The other two men were later released and will appear in court at a later date to face charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
