The victim in the fatal crash on Gairloch Road in Rocklin last evening is identified as 20-year-old Candace Taylor Archibald, of Middle Musquodoboit.

RCMP respond to a fatal collision in Rocklin, Nova Scotia.

Last evening at approximately 5:20 p.m., Pictou County District RCMP responded to a call of a single vehicle collision on Gairloch Road in Rocklin. A 20-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation revealed a vehicle believed to be traveling north bound on Gairloch Road lost control, rolled over and hit a telephone pole. No other vehicles or persons were involved in this incident.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation is ongoing.
