Police execute successful search warrant in Annapolis County, Wilmot, N.S.

2012/2/7

At approximately 10 a.m. today, Annapolis County, Kings County and Kentville Police Service Street Crime Enforcement Units (SCEU) teamed up to execute a search warrant in the Wilmot area of Annapolis County. Brandon David Comeau was wanted on 24 charges of Fraud, Theft Under $5000, and numerous Fail to Appear/Abide by conditions offences. These charges were committed all along the Annapolis Valley from Kentville to Digby.

'This was a good one to get off the streets. He was found hiding in the attic of a residence. He was evading capture, and doing so to continue committing crimes all over the Valley' says Cpl Laurie Smith. 'It was a good team effort to identify a problem occurring in several jurisdictions and then all the Valley SCEU teams working towards locating this individual and getting him before a judge.'

Comeau will be held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court for a bail hearing.
