Workshop Content

The goal of this workshop is to introduce physical security staff to the application of the Physical Security Operational Standard and the Policy on Government Security.

This four-day workshop covers:

• Basic concepts of physical security
• Security zones
• Perimeter and landscaping
• Fences, gates and lighting
• Doors, locks and master keys
• Construction, windows, walls and doors
• Identification cards and access badges
• Security containers
• Intrusion detection and access control systems, CCTV/CCVE
• Transport, transmittal and destruction of sensitive material
• Security awareness program

Participants

This basic level workshop is restricted to employees who have or will have physical security responsibilities.

Registration Fees

There are no registration costs for employees of partnering federal departments and agencies.

The per-candidate cost for non-partnering departments, agencies and other organizations is $500.
