Bullying Awareness Week 2011

Bullying occurs when someone repeatedly says or does hurtful things to someone else on purpose. Anyone can be a victim of bullying, however, young children and youth experience higher rates of bullying as they are still learning how to interact and navigate peer to peer relationships.

Ultimately, bullying is a problem that needs to be tackled by all members of the community. To help Canadians ensure the safety and well being of our children and youth, the RCMP has compiled information on the topic of bullying, with the following facets of bullying being featured each day:

If you experience bullying or violence, remember that you:

  • Are not alone - help and support is only a phone call away.
  • Matter and have a place in the world – be proud of who you are!
