On May 10, 2019, in their continued commitment to the Port Saunders Youth Centre, Port Saunders RCMP partnered with Western Health to facilitate a number of information sessions for youth between the ages of 12-17 including;

  • Age of consent (intimate relationships)
  • Violence in relationships
  • Bullying
  • Cyber bullying
  • Child pornography
  • Suicide intervention

The information sessions were followed by fun activities in the gym and refreshments.

November 19, 2018, marked the official opening of the Port Saunders Youth Centre. It was a joint project by Port Saunders RCMP, the Town of Port Saunders and local partners with funding from the RCMP Family Violence Initiative Fund. The centre is a big success and has been well received. It is open to youth ages 12–17 and offers a number of activities such as sports, games, crafts, cooking and movie nights.

Port Saunders RCMP is proud to be part of this community outreach initiative to build positive relationships with the youth in the community.
