25-year-old man victim of homicide

The New Brunswick RCMP's Major Crime Unit is investigating the death of a 25-year-old man in St. Stephen, N.B., as a homicide.

On September 15, 2020, shortly before 3 a.m., members of the St. Stephen RCMP responded to a report of an unresponsive male at a residence on Ross Avenue in St. Stephen.

When police arrived on scene, they discovered the body of a 25-year-old man. An autopsy has been completed and the man's death has been determined to have been a homicide.

The victim has been identified as Christopher Hanley from St. Stephen. Police believe this to be an isolated incident and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area between midnight and 4 a.m. on September 15, is asked to contact the Major Crime Unit at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267).
