A 50-year-old man from Kedgwick, N.B., has been arrested following the seizure of more than 30 firearms, drugs and money from a property in the community.

On October 30, 2020, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Northeast District Crime Reduction Unit along with members of the Saint-Quentin RCMP and Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at a home on Route 260.

During the search, police seized 31 firearms, including a prohibited firearm and a loaded firearm, as well as various types of ammunition. Police also seized quantities of what is believed to be cocaine, drug paraphernalia believed to be used for drug-trafficking purposes, and an undisclosed amount of money.

A 50-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident.

The man was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Campbellton Provincial Court on April 12, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., to enter a plea.
