The New Brunswick RCMP has seized a significant quantity of what is believed to be heroin as part of an ongoing investigation in southeastern New Brunswick.

On October 9, 2020, the New Brunswick RCMP conducted a search in a wooded area near Shediac River, N.B. Members located and secured approximately 3.5 kilograms of what is believed to be heroin.

The investigation is ongoing.

The New Brunswick RCMP is committed to disrupting and dismantling the trafficking of illegal drugs in our province, targeting those causing the most harm in our communities.

The public plays an important role in helping to reduce, prevent and solve crime, including the trafficking of illegal drugs.
