Bay St. George RCMP is investigating a motorcycle collision resulting in the death of a 56-year-old Fogo man that occurred yesterday.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m., Bay St. George RCMP were dispatched to the collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near the Burgeo turnoff (Route 480).
Police attended the collision and determined that the driver, who died at the scene, lost control of the motorcycle and departed the roadway. Road and weather conditions were favorable at the time of the collision.
A Collision Reconstructionist with RCMP Traffic Services also attended the scene and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was engaged. The investigation is continuing.
