Bonavista RCMP investigates break and enter at Red Circle Convenience, two people face charges

Bonavista RCMP is investigating a break and enter into the Red Circle Convenience in Bonavista that happened on October 2, 2020. A 39-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman are now facing charges.

At approximately 4:40 a.m., police received a report of the break and enter. Forced entry was gained through a door located on the side of the business. A quantity of cigarettes and beer were stolen. During the investigation, police learned of possible suspects and located some of the stolen property.

Further investigation led to the arrest of the two individuals on October 4, 2020. Both the man and the woman are facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime and a breach of a probation order. The two are set to appear in court on December 15, 2020.

The investigation is continuing.
