Burin Peninsula RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred at the Midway Gas Bar and Lounge on November 16, 2020.
Shortly after 6:30 a.m., police received the report of the break and enter and attended the scene on Route 210 near Boat Harbour. Officers learned that the break and enter happened sometime between 2:00 a.m. - 3:00 a.m. that same morning. Two individuals were captured on surveillance footage and entry was gained through a window of the business. A quantity of cash and large quantity of various brands of cigarettes were stolen. A light-coloured four-door sedan was observed in the area near the time of the break and enter.
The investigation is continuing.
