Charges laid after stolen excavator recovered

RCMP Windsor/West Hants and the Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) have charged a man after a stolen excavator was recovered.

On November 3, RCMP Windsor/West Hants and SCEU searched a home in Newport, Hants County. Police recovered a stolen John Deere Excavator worth over $100,000. The excavator was stolen from Halifax late last week. A 44-year-old man was arrested at the home without incident and is schedule to appear in Windsor Provincial Court on December 29. He is facing charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.
