Cocaine and Methamphetamine seized during search warrant in North Bedeque

The Prince District Joint Force Operations (JFO) Unit which is comprised of RCMP, Summerside, and Kensington Police members executed a search warrant on a residence in North Bedeque on September 25th, 2020. After a brief foot pursuit, a 62 year old man was arrested for an outstanding warrant and a drug offence. As a result of this arrest and search warrant police seized 78 grams of cocaine, 51 methamphetamine tablets, 2 oxycodone tablets, and a small amount of cash.

This man was already facing a possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking charge from a search warrant executed back in May of 2020. The man was remanded into custody and his next court appearance is October 8th, 2020.

Prince District JFO was assisted by the Summerside Major Crime Unit, the PEI Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit, and the PEI RCMP Police Dog Services during the execution of the search warrant.

The investigation into this matter is still ongoing.
