Cranberry Portage RCMP investigate break-in at local high school

On June 29, 2020, just after 3:30 am, Cranberry Portage RCMP were called to a high school in the community for a disturbance.

When officers arrived at the scene, they observed 105 windows had been broken, and entry had been made into the computer lab where 42 computers were destroyed. The damage is estimated to be $200,000.

On June 30, 2020, a 27-year-old male from the community was arrested and will be facing charges of Breaking and Entering, Mischief over $5000, and Possessing Break-In Instruments.

RCMP continues to investigate.
