On October 20, 2020, at approximately 10:00 am, RCMP responded to a robbery at a financial institution on Main Street North, in Dauphin. Officers immediately responded and while en route they were advised a second robbery had occurred at another financial institution on the same street.
A male suspect had entered both businesses, demanded cash and then fled in a grey truck.
Numerous officers began searching for the suspect vehicle. At approximately 10:30 am, an officer located the suspect vehicle in a back alley between Main Street North and First Street Northwest.
The suspect was located inside the vehicle and was arrested without incident. A large sum of Canadian currency was recovered from the vehicle.
A 25-year-old male from Duck Bay, has been arrested and will be facing robbery charges.
Dauphin RCMP along with assistance from Major Crime Services and CREST, continue to investigate.
