Harbour Grace RCMP responds to collision between ATV and a car, ATV operator is ticketed

Harbour Grace RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred between an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and a car on December 4, 2020, in Victoria.

At approximately 8:20 p.m., on Friday night, police received the report and attended the scene of the collision. Officers learned that the car was making a turn from Route 70 onto Church Road when it was struck by an uninsured ATV that was driving on the roadway without a headlight. The driver, a 22-year-old Victoria man, was ticketed for various offences and the ATV was seized and impounded. No one was injured during the collision.

RCMP NL reminds ATV operators that it is illegal to operate an ATV on a roadway and that operating a vehicle without headlights at night is a dangerous and illegal activity.
