A 32-year-old man from Riverview, N.B., has been charged with the sexual assault of a minor, as the result of a recent investigation by the Codiac Regional RCMP.
Shawn Nickerson appeared in Moncton Provincial Court on December 8, 2020, and was charged with one count of sexual assault.
The charge stems from a complaint received by the Codiac Regional RCMP on October 26, involving incidents alleged to have occurred between December 25, 2018, and June 15, 2019. There is a court-imposed publication ban on any information that could potentially identify the alleged victim.
Shawn Nickerson was remanded into custody, and is scheduled to return to court on January 26, 2021.
