Mary’s Harbour RCMP tickets driver traveling at excessive speed

A 32-year-old Happy Valley-Goose Bay woman was ticketed by Mary's Harbour RCMP on August 28, 2020, for traveling at excessive speeds.

Just before 10:00 a.m. on Friday, police were on patrol along Route 510 and observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. A radar reading of 146 km/hr in a posted 80 km/hr speed zone was obtained and a traffic stop was conducted. In addition to a traffic ticket, the driver, who was traveling 66 kms/hr over the speed limit, received a seven-day suspension of her driver's licence.
