Two sea cans (shipping containers), owned by Dobson Construction, containing property valued at more than $50,000, were set fire on July 23, 2020.

Natuashish RCMP is investigating an arson at a construction site owned by Dobson Construction that happened on July 23, 2020.

Shortly before 3:00 a.m., police responded to a fire on Pokue Street on the outskirts of the community. Three sea cans (shipping containers) owned by Dobson Construction were set on fire. Firefighters from Natushish Fire Department responded and extinguished the flames; however, the sea cans and all construction materials within them were completely destroyed. The value of the loss is over $50,000.

The investigation is continuing.
