New Memory Garden to honour RCMP employees.

February 17, 2020
St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador

News release

RCMP Headquarters in B Division will be the site of a new Memory Garden. The garden is a tribute to Civilian Members, Regular Members and Public Service Employees who have served the RCMP, regardless of how they have passed.

The Memory Garden is a project of RCMP B Division, the B Division Fallen Members' Fund Committee and the RCMP B Division Veterans' Association. It will be supported by fundraising activities and will be a distinctive part of the infrastructure of RCMP Headquarters, 100 White Hills Road, St. John's.

The garden will be located on the southern side of Headquarters, facing Signal Hill, and will feature a lighted seating area surrounded by bricks inscribed simply with the names of past employees. It will be a space to sit, reflect and remember.

There will be no costs for the families of those who have passed in having a brick placed in the garden.

We are now looking for the names of RCMP employees (Civilian Members, Regular Members and Public Service Employees) who have passed away. The ONLY requirement is the person must have been an employee of the RCMP and served in Newfoundland and Labrador. It does not matter how long they served or where in the province.

To submit a loved one's name please email: h.escott@hotmail.com
