Piikani Nation RCMP seek public assistance locating missing youth - Update

On July 27, 2020 human remains were located in the Piikani Nation.

The initial investigation by Piikani Nation RCMP indicated that this death was suspicious.

An autopsy was conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary on July 29, 2020 and the manner of death was deemed a homicide. The identity of the deceased was confirmed to be Tregan Crow Eagle who was last seen on July 22, 2020.

Additional details are not available at this time as this is an ongoing investigation; however, an update will be provided when further information becomes available.

Backgrounder

Brocket, Alta. - Piikani Nation RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in locating 16-year old Tregan "Piikani" Crow Eagle. Tregan was last seen at a residence in the early morning hours on July 22, 2020 in Brocket.

Tregan is described as:

  • 5'11" / 123 lbs
  • Black hair, shoulder length - last seen in a ponytail
  • Brown eyes
  • Last seen wearing grey shorts, grey hoodie sweater, white socks and grey runners

There is concern for Tregan's well-being and Piikani RCMP would like to locate and speak with him.
