On July 12, 2020, at approximately 3:05 pm, Powerview RCMP responded to a possible drowning, at a quarry, across from Great Falls Dam.
A male was with friends, when he jumped into the water, and began struggling to swim. Several of his friends attempted to help, however the male went under the water and did not come up. Several bystanders came to assist, and he was found, pulled from the water and CPR was initiated.
The 21-year-old male, from the RM of Ste. Anne was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Powerview RCMP continue to investigate.
