On Monday, September 21st, 2020, a Stratford RCMP officer was on patrol conducting traffic enforcement on the Trans Canada Highway within the town limits when they noted a vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle registered on the police officer's radar a speed of 154 km/hour in an 80 km/hour speed zone. The driver, a 44 year-old male from Kings County, was subsequently issued a summary offence ticket in the amount of $840 and the vehicle was impounded for 24 hours.
