Thompson RCMP seize large amount of cash during traffic stop

On October 7, 2020, at approximately 2:50 am, Thompson RCMP officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 6, near Pisew Falls.

During the course of the investigation, officers located and seized a large amount of Canadian currency, believed to have been obtained through the proceeds of crime, and a can of bear spray.

A 32-year-old male from Thompson is facing charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Drive While Disqualified under the Highway Traffic Act.

A 19-year-old female from Thompson is facing a charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

Thompson RCMP continue to investigate.
