Update: Single vehicle rollover on the North Klondike Highway
On September 19th, 2020 at approximately 11:00am, Carmacks and Pelly Crossing RCMP along with Fire Services and EMS, responded to a single vehicle rollover on the North Klondike Highway at kilometre marker 423, one kilometre north of the McCabe Bridge.
On attendance, officers found that the vehicle had rolled through both lanes of the highway. There were originally five occupants in the vehicle, one of whom, attended the Pelly Crossing RCMP to help inform police. Of the remaining four passengers at the scene, two were uninjured and two were transported to hospital with critical injuries.
A RCMP Collision Analyst attended the scene. The highway was on closed in both directions for approximately eight hours to conduct a full examination of the scene and reopened at approximately 7:44 pm.
Pelly Crossing RCMP and Traffic Services are continuing with their investigation.
