Virden RCMP execute a search warrant after receiving theft complaint

On September 20, 2020, Virden RCMP responded to a report of a theft from a storage trailer located on a work site in the RM of Pipestone, where numerous items were stolen including hand tools, power tools, barbeque, clothing, electronics and other miscellaneous items.

The investigation led officers to a property on Government Road, in Melita, where it was believed the stolen items were being stored. A search warrant was executed at this residence and officers recovered some of the stolen items including a John Deere riding mower which was discovered to be stolen from the area a few weeks prior.

RCMP have charged Steven Stewart Lundle, 34-years of age from Melita, with four counts of Possession of Stolen Property in relation to this search warrant and have issued a Warrant for his arrest.
