On November 29, 2021, officers from the Onion Lake RCMP conducted a traffic stop on an ATV which had been previously reported as stolen.
During the stop, the adult male operator of the ATV provided false identification information and refused to comply with officers. After a brief altercation with officers, the man was arrested. No serious injuries were sustained during the arrest and all involved received medical assessment.
Upon arrest, officers located and seized:
- approximately 25 grams of cocaine, divided into 25 packages
- 180 grams of methamphetamine
- 68 tablets of codeine
- 3 cellular phones
- a large sum of Canadian currency

- 1 count, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code
- 1 count, Resist a Peace Officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code
- 1 count, Obstruct a Peace Officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code
- 1 count, Personate with Intent to Avoid Arrest, Section 403, Criminal Code
- 1 count, Assault a Peace Officer, Section 270(2), Criminal Code
- 2 counts, Fail to Comply with Release Order, Section 145(5)(a), Criminal Code
- 1 count, Operate a Conveyance while Prohibited, Section 320.18(1)(b), Criminal Code
