The New Brunswick RCMP has arrested two people and seized drugs and cash, as part of an ongoing drug investigation in Moncton, N.B.

On April 1, 2021, members of the Codiac Regional RCMP arrested two people in a parking lot on Vaughan Harvey Blvd. and also executed a search warrant at a residence on West Street in Moncton. During the arrest and search, police seized what is believed to be cocaine, crack cocaine, cash, and bear spray.

A 31-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, both from Moncton, were arrested during the investigation. The man was remanded into custody and is scheduled to attend court for a bail hearing on April 7. The woman has been released pending a court appearance in August.

The public plays an important role in helping to reduce, prevent and solve crime, including the trafficking of illegal drugs.
