Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP responds to ATV crash and arrests operator for repeated impaired driving

Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP responded to an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash on July 17, 2021, and arrested the operator, 56-year-old William Tubrett, for impaired driving.

At approximately 5:20 p.m., police received the report of an ATV in a ditch on the T'Railway near Red Cliff. Officers attended the scene, located the operator, Tubrett, who showed signs of alcohol impairment and failed a roadside breath test. He was arrested for impaired driving and was transported to the detachment where he provided breath samples more than twice the legal limit. Tubrett was recently arrested for impaired driving on an ATV on June 28, 2021.

He was issued a driving licence suspension and the ATV was seized and impounded. Tubrett was held in custody, attended court on July 18, 2021, and was released by the court. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer to two separate incidents of impaired driving.
