Wanted: Kashtin Lee Sandfly

​​​​​​Harold Jr. Mitsuing was arrested on December 28, 2021 on Island Lake First Nation. He has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance in Pierceland on Monday, February 2, 2022 at 1:30 p.m.

Kashtin Sandfly has NOT been located. If you see him, do not approach him. He may be armed and is considered dangerous. Call Loon Lake RCMP at 306-837-2440, call 911 in an emergency or report information anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.

Update: Loon Lake RCMP seeks public's assistance to locate wanted men

Kashtin Lee Sandfly has NOT been located. We continue to seek the public's assistance for information on his whereabouts. He should not be approached as he may be armed and is considered dangerous.

As a result of continued investigation by Loon Lake RCMP, North Battleford General Investigation Section and North Battleford Forensic Identification Services, in addition to the charges already laid against Kashtin Sandfly:

Kirk Crookedneck from Island Lake First Nation, is charged with:

  • 1 count, Attempted Murder - Section 239 of the Criminal Code;
  • 1 count, Aggravated Assault - Section 268 of the Criminal Code;
  • 1 count, Discharge firearm while being reckless - Section 244 of the Criminal Code;
  • 1 count, Possession of a firearm while prohibited - Section 117.01 of the Criminal Code;

Andrew Opikokew from Mudie Lake First Nation, is charged with:

  • 1 count, Discharge firearm while being reckless - Section 244 of the Criminal Code;
  • 1 count, Occupant of a motor vehicle with a firearm - Section 94 of the Criminal Code;

Kirk Crookedneck and Andrew Opikokew appeared in Loon Lake Provincial Court on December 23, 2021, and will appear again on January 6, 2022.

Harold Jr. Mitsuing from Island Lake First Nation, is charged with:

  • 1 count, Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose - Section 88 of the Criminal Code;
  • 1 count, Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle - Section 94 of the Criminal Code;

Harold Jr. Mitsuing has not been located and there is a warrant for his arrest.

He is described as being 6 feet tall, 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Harold Jr. Mitsuing is known to frequent the communities of Island Lake First Nation, Mudie Lake First Nation, and Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.

If you see Harold Jr. Mitsuing, do not approach him. He may be armed and is considered dangerous.

Loon Lake RCMP seeks public's assistance to locate wanted man

2021-12-24

On December 21, 2021 shortly before 8:00 a.m. Loon Lake RCMP responded to a report of a firearm discharged at a residence on Island Lake First Nation. An injured adult male was located inside the residence. Police officers made extensive patrols throughout the communities of Island Lake First Nation and Mudie Lake First Nation and did not locate a vehicle reportedly involved.

Around noon December 21, Loon Lake RCMP responded to a report of an injured adult male inside a vehicle. Police officers located the vehicle on a remote, snowy road and an injured adult male was inside. Because the road was barely passable, police officers had to transport the injured male to a main road in order for him to receive medical treatment.

This investigation is active and continuing at this time.

As a result of the initial investigation, Kashtin Lee Sandfly is charged with:

  • 1 count, discharge a firearm with intent, section 244 of the Criminal Code
  • 1 count, being an occupant in a motor vehicle knowing a firearm is present, section 94 of the Criminal Code

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

He is described as being 5'10 tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He has multiple tattoos on his face and neck including star tattoos around the right eye, bird tattoo on the right side of neck and the word "Loyalty" tattooed above the left eyebrow.

Kashtin Sandfly is known to frequent the communities of Island Lake First Nation, Mudie Lake First Nation and Big Island Lake First Nation.

If you see Kashtin Sandfly, do not approach him. He may be armed and is considered dangerous.
