Just after 3:40 p.m. this afternoon, Lunenburg District RCMP members were dispatched to a multi-vehicle collision between Exits 14 and 15 on Highway 103 in Italy Cross. Multiple Lunenburg District members responded as well as EHS and local fire departments. RCMP have confirmed one fatality and another person with life-threatening injuries was transported via EHS LifeFlight to hospital.
A collision reconstructionist was called to the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. Hwy 103 between exits 14 and 15 is currently closed in both directions and is expected to re-open by midnight.
