Rocky Harbour RCMP seized a car on July 20, 2021, that was unregistered, uninsured, and not road worthy.

A Norris Point man was issued a number of traffic tickets and his car was impounded following recent traffic stops conducted by Rocky Harbour RCMP.

On July 18, 2021, police received a report of a car that was not fit for the roadway being operated in Trout River. An officer made a patrol and located the vehicle parked at a residence. The driver, whose licence was expired since 1993, was identified and the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured. The man was ticketed for operating a vehicle without a licence, registration and insurance and he was warned that the vehicle was to remain parked until the violations were corrected.

Two days later, the same driver and vehicle were located driving on Neddies Harbour Road in Norris Point. A traffic stop was conducted and the man was found committing the same violations of driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle without a valid driver's licence. The driver was again ticketed for operating a vehicle with an expired driver's licence, registration and insurance and the car was seized and impounded.
