Several vehicles in the lot were damaged, many with smashed windows.

Harbour Grace RCMP is seeking the public's help with any information that may lead to the identity of a suspect or suspects involved in what police described as a senseless act of mischief to multiple vehicles.

On December 26, 2021, just before 9:00 p.m., Harbour Grace RCMP responded to Hickman Motors on Columbus Drive in Carbonear, after staff discovered damage caused to multiple vehicles being stored on the lot. Police observed several vehicles with damage, which included smashed out windows. Some vehicles were found with their hoods up and some vehicle parts stolen. It is suspected that the damage to the vehicles was done sometime after 8:00 a.m. on Boxing Day.

Police Dog Services attended the scene and assisted with a search of the area. Police believe that the suspect or suspects may have been operating an All-Terrain-Vehicle (ATV). Police ask residents with dash cams and surrounding businesses with surveillance cameras to check their footage for anything that may be of assistance to police.

Anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information that may aid in the criminal investigation is asked to contact the Harbour Grace RCMP at 709-596-5014 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers: #SayItHere 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), visit www.nlcrimestoppers.com or use the P3Tips app.
