Melville RCMP has received six separate reports of break and enters to and/or thefts from seasonal cabins in the Crooked Lake, SK area since November 14, 2021.

We're encouraging seasonal property owners to check on their property, or ask someone trusted to do so. If you note any suspicious activity at your seasonal property, please contact your nearest RCMP Detachment to report it. Reporting crime makes police aware of what is happening in a specific area.

In the time since the six break and enters were reported, Melville RCMP has increased the number of proactive patrols in these areas. The Crooked Lake Citizens on Patrol Program (COPP) have helped to identify properties broken into, as well as patrolling the area.
