At approximately 2:10 a.m. this morning, a member was on patrol and located a car off the road on Hwy. 201 in South Greenwood.
Kings District RCMP, Fire and EHS attended the scene. The passenger, a 25-year-old woman from Kings County was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, a 25-year-old man was transported to hospital by EHS with life threatening injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
A collision reconstructionist attended and the investigation is ongoing.
The road was closed for several hours and has since reopened.
