Rocky Harbour RCMP arrests ATV operator for impaired driving in Cow Head

The driver of this ATV was arrested for impaired driving following a traffic stop in Cow Head on November 18, 2021.

A 36-year-old man, operating an all-terrain vehicle (ATV), was arrested for impaired driving in Cow Head on November 18, 2021.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., Rocky Harbour RCMP was on a patrol in Cow Head and observed a man operating an ATV on the roadway without a helmet. He was driving in the wrong direction of travel and had a box of beer on his lap.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver showed signs of alcohol impairment. He failed a roadside breath test and was arrested for impaired driving. He refused to provide further breath samples. The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court March 8, 2022, where he will face charges of impaired driving and refusing to provide breath samples.
