On Saturday February 20, 2021 Whitehorse RCMP, along with Fire Rescue from: Marsh Lake, Golden Horn, and Mount Lorne; responded to a two-vehicle collision between a tractor-trailer and a small SUV on the Alaska Highway at the Judas Creek subdivision.

The collision occurred after a south bound tractor-trailer slowed upon approaching a stopped vehicle pulled over on the shoulder with its hazard lights engaged. The tractor-trailer engaged their hazard lights while slowing down as they were unable to safely pass the parked vehicle due to oncoming north bound traffic. A Ford Edge SUV that was also traveling south bound drove into the back of the tractor trailer. The driver of the SUV was extracted from the vehicle by use of the 'Jaws of Life'. The driver was taken to Whitehorse General Hospital.
