70-year-old man dies following single-vehicle crash

A 70-year-old man from Miramichi, N.B., has died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in Trout Brook.

On September 20, 2022, at approximately 6:10 p.m., members of the Sunny Corner RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash involving an ATV on Northwest Road. The driver and sole occupant of the ATV, a 70-year-old man, was transported to hospital with what were believed to be serious, life-threatening injuries. He later died in hospital as a result of his injuries.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of the ATV, left the roadway, and struck several trees.

The Sunny Corner Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene. An RCMP collision reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
